Job Summary:

As a Tailoress you will play a crucial role in creating and altering Pakistani-style ladies’ outfits, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Duties:

• Stitching and altering Pakistani-style ladies’ outfits.
• Taking customer measurements and discussing their preferred style.
• Sewing garment parts together by hand or using a sewing machine.
• Making buttonholes, sewing on fasteners and trimmings.
• Shaping garments by pressing seams, pleats, etc.
• Designing patterns to fit measurements.
• Making alterations to finished garments according to customer requirements.
• Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain a record of completed work

Requirement: 

• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional experience in stitching and altering Pakistani-style ladies’ outfits.
• Currently working in a professional store or stitching unit.
• Extensive knowledge of Pakistani-style stitching, including popular styles like ‘Straight cut shalwar suit,’ ‘Anarkali suit,’ and ‘Angarkha style shalwar suit.’
• Ability to take customer measurements and discuss their required style.
• Proficiency in sewing garment parts together by hand or using a sewing machine.
• Skill in making buttonholes, sewing on fasteners and trimmings, and shaping garments by pressing seams, pleats, etc.
• Capability to design patterns to fit measurements and make alterations to finished garments according to customer requirements.
• Good communication skills in English, Punjabi, and Urdu.
• Strong customer service skills with an ability to deal effectively with customers.
• Organized, punctual, client-focused, and reliable.
• A keen eye for detail and a creative flair are essential.
• Collaboration with other team members.
