Job Summary:
As a Restaurant Server, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team committed to delivering an exceptional Japanese dining experience. Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests warmly and present menus.
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order.
- Make recommendations and answer guest inquiries.
- Take orders and input them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverage items in a timely fashion.
- Clear dishes and replenish washed service ware for FOH station.
- Prepare and stock all service items, maintaining assigned par levels.
- Prepare checks, process transactions, and handle guest payments when required.
- Maintain the dining room for visual appeal and brand alignment.
- Ensure compliance with health, food safety, and hygiene standards and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience (asset).
- Secondary School Education or equivalent proven and related work experience.
- Responsible Alcohol Service certifications (Smart Serve, Serving It Right, Proserve).
- Strong communication skills in English; Japanese and French considered as assets.
- Positive attitude and excellent customer-oriented approach.
- Energetic with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player, contributing to a positive guest experience.
Physical Demands:
This position requires standing for up to 8 hours per shift, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing all day. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Lifting up to 25lbs is required. The role involves twisting, turning, and reaching.
