Job Summary:

As a Receptionist, you will play a crucial role as the first point of contact within our Residence, responsible for receiving and directing visitors and inquiries. Your role extends to relaying and coordinating resident and staff messages using telephone and emergency response systems. Actively involved in enhancing the customer experience, you will promote the Residence’s professional image.

Duties:

  • Receive and direct visitors and inquiries.
  • Relay and coordinate resident and staff messages via telephone and emergency response systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assist with various administrative functions contributing to the efficient operation of the Residence.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding resident and operational matters.
  • Exercise courtesy, good judgment, and concern for the safety and well-being of residents and visitors.
  • Assist in training new staff members on reception and administrative procedures to ensure a consistent and welcoming experience.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient management of resident documentation, respecting privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs including Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Employment Standards Act).
  • Ability to understand and perform duties effectively, communicate pertinent issues, and work accurately and quickly.
  • Self-directed and team-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in accounting/bookkeeping/payroll is an asset.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to multi-disciplinary teamwork.

Education:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent general education.
