Job Summary
Mucci Farms Inc., a leading greenhouse produce grower and packer in Ontario, is seeking dedicated Produce Packers to join its packing facility at 1876 Seacliff Drive, Kingsville, ON. In this role, you’ll help ensure fresh fruits and vegetables are carefully sorted, packed, and labeled to meet strict quality and food-safety standards.
This position is ideal for reliable, detail-oriented candidates who enjoy active, hands-on work. No prior packing experience is required—training is provided. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sorting & Grading: Inspect and sort produce by size, quality, and appearance according to company standards.
- Packing: Pack fruits and vegetables into trays, clamshells, or boxes while maintaining speed and accuracy.
- Labeling & Sealing: Apply labels, dates, and codes; seal packages to prepare for distribution.
- Quality Control: Monitor for defects, damage, or contamination and remove non-conforming items.
- Food Safety Compliance: Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Equipment Use: Operate basic packing line equipment and follow safe operating procedures.
- Sanitation: Keep work areas clean; assist with routine cleaning of tools, bins, and workstations.
- Palletizing & Staging: Stack finished goods on pallets and prepare orders for shipping.
- Teamwork & Communication: Work cooperatively with line leads and coworkers to meet production targets.
Requirements:
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods.
- Comfort with an active, fast-paced environment and light-to-moderate lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety.
- Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
