As a Cashier at Grosvenor Casino, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience by acknowledging, welcoming, and assisting customers across all areas. Duties:
- Ensure compliance with the Gambling Act, licensing objectives, codes of practice, AML, and Safer Gambling regulations.
- Adhere to financial transaction thresholds and escalate exceptions to the Duty/Gaming manager.
- Accountable for the protection of company assets and development of security procedures.
- Train and develop a pool of cash desk breakers in collaboration with gaming managers.
- Conduct regular appraisals and reviews for team members.
- Responsible for the accurate handling of financial transactions, ensuring precision and adherence to established standards.
- Collaborate with the casino supervisory team to maintain a secure environment, following security procedures, and developing new processes for enhanced efficiency.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the team on cash desk operations and security measures.
- Act as a point of reference for cashier training and queries, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct cash desk competency interviews for new hires and assess their readiness for the role.
- Coordinate with the Duty/Gaming manager to address exceptions and discrepancies in financial transactions promptly.
- Play a key role in continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing costs per tonne and improving operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- A history of accurate transactional work as a Cashier, acting as a role model for other team members.
- Strong understanding and familiarity with legislation, codes, and procedures related to the cash desk.
- Thorough understanding of the cash desk computer system.
- Current PFL licence issued by the Gambling Commission.
- Availability for shifts at any time, including weekends and bank holidays.
